Our Dog Walking Service Area:
Our service area includes Noe Valley, Glen Park, Diamond Heights, Buena Vista, Castro, Mission, and West Portal and nearby environs. *Ask us about our petsitting service area!
Play Groups:
These are daily one hour off-leash romps designed with your pup in mind. We integrate our groups so no matter if your dog is young or old, big or small, shy or confident, they are sure to have a great time with the perfect playmates. Play groups are kept to no more than 6 dogs to maintain safety and individual attention. All groups enjoy lots of exercise, fun and positive reinforcement in a safe environment.
$37 for full time dogs
15% off for the 2nd dog from same household!
$40 for part time dogs
Dogs can also play all day in our daycare program!
Day Care Play Group:
Dogs in Day Care are out approximately 4 to 5 hours each day and get to play in two groups. Day Care dogs come home very tired and happy!
$60 a day
Play Group Requirements:
We require that dogs participate in a play group for 3 days a week minimum to maintain pack stability and solid relationships with our walkers.
Dogs must have current proof of DHLPP, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations. Titers are accepted.
Dogs must be on a once a month flea and tick control program such as Frontline or Advantage.
Dogs must wear a current dog license and identification tag. Microchipping is recommended for identification purposes.
Dogs must be non-aggressive and play well with others.
Dogs must be on voice command recall to participate in off-leash playgroups.
Puppies must be enrolled in and attending puppy class. A great place for this is SF Puppy Prep.
Dogs six months or older must be spayed or neutered.
Dog Tales does not employ the use of prong collars, choke chains, or any other aversive methods of training. Please provide properly fitted flat or martingale collars and/or Sensible Harnesses for all outings.
Individual Dog Walks:
For dogs who need extra special attention, we offer one-on-one quality time, be it a neighborhood stroll with your senior dog or a puppy socialization visit.
$40 for 30 minute walk
$25 for quick potty breaks
Training Walks:
We use positive reinforcement training methods when working with your dog. Our commitment is to helping you achieve the desired results in your dog's behavior as well as fostering a relationship built on trust. Please contact us to discuss your dog's individual needs and our training rates.

$45 for 30 minute walk
Puppy Visits
$35 for a basic 10 to 15 minute puppy visit consist of a quick potty break and a short walk in a safe area.
$45 for a 30 minute puppy visit consists of all the above plus games and exercise and basic obedience training to build up good dog manners. This longer visit also includes daily reports regarding your puppy's development and behavior.
Cat Visits:
Visits include feeding, litter box cleaning and play time as well as plant watering, mail pick up, etc. as requested.
$35 for 30 minute visit (1-3 cats), add $3 for additional cat
Overnight Care In Your Home
Sometimes there is no place like home, and that's why we offer pet-sitting in a familiar environment which is a lot less stressful than kenneling. We make sure your pet get lots of play and attention, never feel lonely and you get the added security of knowing that someone is taking care of your home and pets while you are away. This includes feedings, walks, fresh water and play time. We will also collect mail, water plants, take out garbage, turn on/off lights, do a home security check and phone or email reports regarding your pets if desireds. Any service required before or after these times on the first and last day of service incurs an additional charge.
$105 for adult dog
$125 for puppies
Add $50 per additional dog
Also, an extra midday walk or group outing can be added for an additional fee.
Overnight Care In Your Home - For Cats:
This service includes feedings, fresh water, play time and litter box cleaning. We will also collect mail, water plants, take out garbage, turn on/off lights, do a home security check and phone or email reports regarding your pets if desired.
$75 (this includes care for up to 2 cats), $5 for an additional cat
Cageless Boarding in My Home:
Our house is your dog's home away from home. They will get tons of affection, play, treats, have free run of the house, and access to a large enclosed yard. Dogs are tucked in for the night on a choice of dog beds and couches. You can relax, knowing they are on vacation too. Often, weekends are spent on dog-centered adventures to parks, the beach or hiking in dog friendly places.
Boarders must not be aggressive, bark when left alone or soil / destroy the house.

Rates are $95 per night for adult dogs and $115 for puppies. This rate is for drop off either by 9:15am or after 5pm on the day of boarding. Dogs picked up after 9:15am are charged an additional $50 for the day. Add $50 per additional dog from same household.
